Hello! My name is Victoria, I am a twenty-something professional who believes in the transformative power of travel. I like to joke that I have a near-pathological need for novelty, my brain is always itching to experience something new. Landing in a new city, country, or continent meets that need and provides opportunities to both learn and unlearn.

Maybe because of this need for new, I am a fastidious planner of leisure, which some might find oxymoronic. I aim to wring out every drop of enjoyment from a vacation and assemble thoroughly researched and detailed itineraries before each trip. After our last few international trips, I had several friends request these itineraries or other recommendations. I also had a lot of photos from past trips that I loved and wanted to share but wasn’t sure if my personal feed was the right place. Lastly, I had a punny name in my head that I was surprised to find wasn’t already being used. In June of this year, I created an Instagram account to share my favorite travel snapshots and tips, @frequentflyerstyles.

While the Instagram account is fun (I hope you’ll follow along!), it didn’t offer the space to meet my real goal of making adventure more accessible. I wanted a platform to share tips on using travel points, choosing the best time to travel and book flights, renting a car in another country, and packing to be both cute and functional. And so this blog was born.
